Hullo friends! It’s been a while, I know.
I took a break.
A hiatus if you will.
And only felt sort-of guilty for doing it.
A few custom items here or there, but I haven’t really done much in the way of crafti-ness since the end of January. I’m usually still in full swing until at least February (after Valentine’s day) but I just wasn’t feeling it.
I did a few projects just for me instead.
I finished knitting my first adult-size sweater:
(it’s much easier to photograph on Twiggy than on me)
I made a quilt:
A queen-ish sized quilt for my bed. It was my first quilt.
Go big or go home.
(I will quilt again, though it will be a quilt-as-you-go project to save my sanity)
I knit some socks:
(the first set in a series I will call Socks for Sochi- more on that later)
And that’s about it.
And that’s OK.
I needed a break.
I knew my mojo would return, just like a boomerang.
Although I think it took the scenic route.
I’m feeling ready to get back into both shops, and trying to figure out a balance between the two.
I’ve got a list of “to-do’s” a mile long and I’m ready to start crossing things off.
Here we go!

Glad to hear you got your mojo back! If you are willing to make adult sized sweaters for sale, I would definitely be interested in discussing having you make one for my sister for Christmas. (Yes I said the C word in April!)
